Description Spanning +/- 217.89 acres, Peach Creek Farm unfolds as a quietly extraordinary Texas retreat where land, architecture, and design exist in thoughtful balance, spanning both sides of the lake for a protected view. Originally designed by Architect David Shiflet and constructed by Dalgleish, the main compound is centered around an extensively renovated 1990s ranch-style residence, recently reimagined by architect Charles Travis of Chas Architects in collaboration with builder Classic Constructors. Rather than impose a new identity, the design carefully amplifies what was already there, allowing the property’s scale, history, and natural beauty to lead the narrative. In the main home, interiors by Marie Flanigan reflect a calm, collected sensibility defined by natural materials, muted earth tones, and a rigorously edited palette that feels both timeless and deeply personal. The transformation draws inspiration from the philosophy of Belgian designer and antique curator Axel Vervoordt, favoring restraint, authenticity, and an intuitive connection to place. Original exposed structural beams were preserved, grounding the home in its past, while Chateau Domingue stone flooring from the original construction was thoughtfully integrated alongside new 20-inch white oak planks, hand-applied plaster walls, and bluestone slab elements. Expansive windows were carefully positioned to amplify sweeping views of the lake, strengthening the dialogue between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.Throughout the main house and guest accommodations, thoughtfully sourced materials take center stage. Custom elements, including an Amuneal kitchen island, Chateau Domingue countertops, a Cox London dining chandelier, and Dinesen wide-plank flooring, add layers of craftsmanship without excess. The result is a home that feels lived-in rather than styled, refined yet unpretentious, and deeply rooted in its setting. Outdoors, a serene pool joins the grounds shaped by James Hyatt
